ShopBot Fatigue Test
Admittedly, this is not a very exciting video to watch, and its not a very exciting test to perform, but its a necessity that helps us to constantly improve our ShopBot CNC systems. This operation is performed to apply fatigue to our aluminum beam and steel rail system to simulate the wear and tear of regular operation. The test is run continuously 24 hours a day for nine days. During the test, the deflection of the beam and rail system is measured at regular intervals to determine the wear on the system.
